Blossom ™ – The Pink Leader of The Powerpuff Girls  

Blossom™, the leader of The Powerpuff Girls™, is known for her strength, determination, and ability to keep her emotions in check even in the most challenging situations. She can even breathe ice when necessary. Amanda Fischer, also known as @amanda_thighs, perfectly embodies these qualities.  

As the Associate Head Trainer at CrossFit Mendota in Roswell, Georgia, Amanda doesn't let her emotions rule the day. She's strong, determined, and always ready to lead the charge in her fitness journey. Her impressive 18th place finish in the American CrossFit semifinals for North America East is a testament to her leadership and dedication. 

Amanda’s Blossom Workout: 

Mobility routine - getting ready for a 1RM (one rep max) of the following complex: 

1 deadlift + 1 hang clean + 1 shoulder to overhead  

 

3 rounds of 10 reps of each movement per side: 

Clam shells each leg 

Hip closers each leg 

Monster walks each direction  

Bottom of squat thoracic rotations  

Banded shoulder banded serratus press  

Banded shoulder external rotation  

  

Barbell mobility: 

10 front rack stretch / elbow poke throughs 

10 barbell strict press 

10 1 1/4 empty bar front squats  

Empty bar split jerk for good measure

Bubbles™ – The Sweet and Compassionate One 

Bubbles™, the softest and sweetest of The Powerpuff Girls™, is characterized by her compassionate nature, love for animals, and her bubbly personality. She even has the ability to talk to animals. Natalie Goldstone, known as @gainsbygoldstone, is our real-life Bubbles™. 

Natalie is the jump roping queen, and her journey since July 2020 has been nothing short of incredible. In just a year, she went from 11 double unders to an astonishing 142, all with an infectious smile on her face. Her joy and positivity are a great representation of Bubbles, making her an inspiration to us all. 

 

Natalie’s Bubbles™ Workout: 

“When I tell people I jump rope, their first thought is probably a throwback to 2nd grade recess. I describe the way I jump rope as a dance. Music is blasting in my ears and I am immersed in the rhythm of it. I feel the beat and I dance to it with my rope in hand! People either look at me like I’m crazy or look at me in awe as I lip sing to the music that only I can hear... I jump rope about 5 days a week for about 30 minutes before I go to the gym. This is probably more than I would recommend to someone but I have so much fun doing it that I can’t stay away!” 

Step One: Get a Jump Rope!

Buttercup™ – The Tough Fighter 

Buttercup™, the hotheaded tomboy and the toughest fighter among The Powerpuff Girls™, is known for her brutal and effective martial arts skills. Ellia Miller, or @ellia_miller, embodies the spirit of Buttercup™. 

As a CrossFit athlete, Ellia excels in endurance, aerobics, and long conditioning workouts. She's all about building her engine and constantly seeks improvements. With impressive rankings like 27th in North America West, 19th in the quarterfinals, and 20th in the semifinals, Ellia proves that intensity can bring incredible results. She's not just intense; she's also excited about her personal records and achievements, just like Buttercup beating the stuffing out of villains.

5 Sets  

2 Behind the neck snatch grip strict press + 2 overhead squats  

*Building weight across sets  

then  

4 Sets  

2 Pause snatch high pull + 2 pause power snatch + 1 pause squat snatch  

*Pause at high hang  

*Building weight across sets
